Straight answers to the questions that matter
Including the ones consultancies usually avoid, what we cannot guarantee, what things cost, and how to tell whether any recruiter is legitimate.
Getting started
We support healthcare professionals across three connected areas: professional registration with the HCPC, NMC, GMC and CORU; ethical recruitment for roles in the UK and Ireland; and guidance through the work and study visa routes into both countries. Interview preparation and career guidance run alongside all three.
No. Many people come to us before registration. We can support your registration application first and move into recruitment once you are eligible to practise, in most cases the two run in parallel, with registration leading.
The United Kingdom and Ireland. Both are English-speaking healthcare systems that recruit internationally, and each has its own regulators and immigration routes. We work across both so the choice between them can be made on the facts rather than on which one a consultancy happens to handle.
Send us a short summary of your profession, your qualification and where you would like to work through our contact form. We will come back to you with the realistic routes available to you and what the sensible first step is.
That is common, and it is exactly what our career guidance conversation is for. Choose 'General enquiry' on the contact form and describe your situation, working out which route fits is part of the help, not something you need to have resolved beforehand.
Professional registration
In the UK: the NMC for nurses and midwives, the GMC for doctors, and the HCPC for allied health and science professions such as physiotherapy, radiography, biomedical science and paramedic practice. In Ireland, CORU regulates health and social care professions through profession-specific registration boards.
It depends on your regulator and your training background. The HCPC generally requires evidence of English proficiency, most commonly IELTS, unless you qualify for an exemption. The GMC and NMC generally accept IELTS or OET at defined minimum scores. CORU does not apply a universal testing requirement. It depends on your registration board. Always confirm the current requirement directly with your regulator.
No. A postgraduate qualification is not a mandatory condition of registration with the HCPC, NMC, GMC or CORU. What is assessed is whether your qualification and clinical experience meet the specific standards each regulator sets for your profession.
It varies by regulator, by profession, and by how quickly your awarding institution responds to verification requests, which is often the stage least within your control. We do not quote timelines, because doing so accurately is not possible. What we can do is remove the avoidable delays: incomplete evidence, inconsistent documents and personal statements written against the wrong standards.
No, and you should be cautious of anyone who says otherwise. Registration decisions rest entirely with the regulator. What we can commit to is a complete, well-evidenced application and support at every stage of it.
Many people do, and it is entirely possible. These processes have become detailed and document-heavy, and independent applications more often stall on incomplete evidence or verification steps that were not set up in advance. Our role is to reduce that risk. Not to do something you could not do yourself.
Recruitment
We are engaged by healthcare employers in the UK and Ireland to find qualified, registered professionals. We review your registration status, specialism and goals, match you to suitable roles, support your application and interview, and stay involved through onboarding.
Any costs that apply to you are set out in writing before you commit to anything. You will never be asked to pay for something that has not been explained and agreed in advance, and you are free to step away at any point. If you are ever unclear about who is paying for what, ask us directly. That question always deserves a straight answer.
Healthcare employers across the United Kingdom and Ireland, matched to your registration status and clinical specialism. The employer is named to you before you are asked to commit to any opportunity.
Ask for the company registration number and verify it yourself on the public register. Ours is 16913776, registered in England and Wales. Ask who pays the recruiter and for what. Ask for the employer's name in writing. A recruiter who will not answer those questions plainly has told you what you need to know.
You can withdraw at any stage. Relocating is a significant decision and there is no penalty for deciding a role is not right for you.
Visas & immigration
Yes. Both the UK Health and Care Worker visa and Ireland's Critical Skills Employment Permit are employer-linked. The UK route additionally requires a Certificate of Sponsorship from an employer holding a valid sponsor licence.
It is a digital reference issued by your UK employer confirming the details of your job offer. You cannot apply for the Health and Care Worker visa without one, and your visa application must match its details precisely.
Both the UK and Ireland generally allow eligible dependants to apply alongside the main applicant on the relevant routes. The requirements depend on your specific route and circumstances, so this is worth talking through directly.
Yes. A student visa is assessed on your course offer and your ability to meet the financial and documentary requirements, not on your professional registration status. Many people study first and pursue registration afterwards.
We provide guidance on preparing and evidencing applications, and on how the routes fit together with registration and employment. Information on this website is general guidance rather than legal or immigration advice, and decisions rest with the relevant immigration authority. Where your circumstances call for regulated immigration advice, we will say so.
