Information we collect
We collect only what we need in order to respond to you and advise on your route. When you submit an enquiry through this website, that includes:
- Your name and email address
- Your phone or WhatsApp number, where you choose to provide it
- Your profession and intended destination country
- The service your enquiry relates to
- Whatever you choose to tell us in your message, which may include details of your qualifications and professional experience
- Your email address alone, if you subscribe to our newsletter
Sensitive information
Please do not send us health information, immigration status documents, passport scans or other sensitive personal data through the website contact form. If information of that kind is genuinely needed at a later stage, we will tell you and agree a secure way to share it.
Why we use your information
We use the information you provide in order to:
- Respond to your enquiry and advise on the routes available to you
- Provide the registration, recruitment, visa and career services you ask us for
- Introduce you to prospective employers, where you have asked us to and with your knowledge
- Send you newsletter updates, where you have subscribed
- Keep records required for our own legal and accounting obligations
Our lawful basis for using it
Where you have submitted an enquiry, we process your information because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and because we have a legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
Where you have subscribed to our newsletter, we process your email address on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Where we are required to retain records for legal, tax or accounting purposes, we process your information to comply with those legal obligations.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to respond and to provide any services you go on to ask for, and then for a reasonable period afterwards in case you return to us. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Records we are legally required to retain are kept for the period the law requires.
If you would like your information deleted sooner, ask us and we will do so unless we are required to keep it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have inaccurate information corrected, to ask us to delete it, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to ask us to transfer it to another provider. Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at admin@britwington.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data protection regulator, if you are unhappy with how we have handled your information.
Security
This website is served over an encrypted connection, and we apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the information you send us. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure, which is why we ask you not to send sensitive documents through the contact form.
